Reasons
This Web site utilises Macromedias 'Flash
Plugin' for animation and Menus. Whilst most newer version of Internet
Browser have this plug-in as standard, some older version do not
and therefore you may not see the animations and Menu, or you may
be prompted to download and install the plugin when you visit the
site.
Solution
If you want to use this Web Site, you are recommended
to install the Macromedia Flash Plug in which will allow you to see animations
and graphics on this and many other Web sites. There are two options open to
you...
1. When you see this dialogue...

...click Yes and follow the prompts.
After installing, you will be able to see the Menu and animations.
2. Or click
here to visit the Macromedia Web Site. Then click the Install
Now button like this one...

...and follow the prompts. After installing,
you will be able to see the Menu and animations.
When I log in, I still cannot use the
interactive pages
When you log in, your Address should
appear in the Page Title next to the visitor number, e.g. 121 Isaacs
Close is Visitor 00339 since 1st Jan 2003.
Reasons
Pages that you have previously visited may
not be properly refreshed, particularly by Internet Explorer and
therefore stop you from using your log in information on the Interactive
pages.
Solution
To remedy this, hold down the Ctrl key and
press the F5 key to force the page to refresh. Your address should
then appear in the Title indicating that you have successfully logged
in.
I cannot work out how to vote in the Monthly
Poll
To vote in the monthly poll, you should click
the options. If the problem is that nothing happens when you click
the options, read on...
Reasons
If nothing happens when you click on the options, the chances are
that you are using Internet Explorer and the Poll page has not been
properly refreshed with your log in information.
Solutions
See the solution to the problem above 'When I log in, I still cannot use the interactive pages'
I do not receive the Brainteaser or Weather
by eMail
If you have registered to receive the 5 day
weather forecast or the daily Brainteaser by eMail but have not
received it...
Reasons
This can occur for a number of reasons. One is that you mistyped
your eMail address, another is that your eMail client (Outlook,
or Outlook Express) has been configured to not receive HTML eMails.
Solution
First, reregister for the eMail - making sure that you type the
correct eMail address. If this doesn't work, make sure that you
can receive HTML eMails. If this doesn't work - contact the Webmaster
through the Contact page and I'll see what I can do.
